PRINCIPLES FOR OUR WORK TOGETHER

You are good.

I believe each of us has essential innate wholeness and wellness. We'll work on accessing more of yours by discovering and untangling the patterns in your life that cause you suffering.

You deserve love.

I believe our relationships give us meaning in our lives. Together we can explore what is keeping you disconnected from yourself and others. We'll work toward greater self esteem and connection.

You can grow.

I believe that change starts with awareness and acceptance, is strengthened by cultivation of internal resources, and can be achieved with gentle practice.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes. While many adult clients choose to see me in-person in my Hawthorne office, some prefer online therapy for some or all of their sessions. Online therapy is just like in-person therapy, except that we meet over the video conferencing app Zoom. You can use your phone, tablet or laptop. Children's sessions are only in-person.

Is online therapy effective?

Yes. Research has shown that online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for most adults. In fact, many of my clients prefer online therapy because of the comfort and convenience of meeting from home.

How often do we meet?

We will find a time that works for us both, and stick to it every week. I can accommodate occasional cancellations and rescheduling.

How much does it cost?

50-minute individual sessions are $165.
50-minute parent-child or couple sessions are $185.

Inquire about my sliding scale if these rates are prohibitive for you.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not currently accept insurance but am able to provide receipts or a superbill that can be submitted for reimbursement.

How long will I need therapy?

We’ll work together to decide if shorter term or longer term therapy is right for you. Some clients choose to pause or end therapy when the original goals are met, and others stay to continue exploring new challenges and areas of growth. It’ll always be up to you.

Is there free parking?

Yes, you can park in either the free Opening to Life Center private parking lot or on the street.
